However, even the best gearbox should be inspected at regular intervals to ensure that it can be operated in the long term without restrictions, in the correct condition and should be reliable. The combination of an adequate stock of spare and wear parts with regular servicing and maintenance intervals and permanent/regular condition monitoring should ensure the best possible availability and operational reliability of the gearbox.
