Turbomachinery Lube Oil Flushing Completed Successfully During Major Turnaround
Petrotec Services and Rentals successfully completed a comprehensive lube oil flushing and filtration project as part of a major turnaround. Our specialized crew serviced multiple turbomachinery systems while managing different oil types, grades and volumes.
Despite the complexity of the work, the project was completed safely, efficiently and within the required timeline. The entire operation was delivered with zero incidents, contributing to the client’s Goal Zero safety target.
Scope of Work
Our team carried out a complete range of lube oil maintenance activities, including:
- Lube oil pre-filtration
- Draining of tanks and filters
- Comprehensive cleaning of tanks, filters and coolers
- Oil replacement
- Detailed lube oil flushing
- System preparation and normalization
Each stage was carefully planned and executed to restore system cleanliness and support the reliable operation of the client’s turbomachinery equipment.
Achieving NAS Class 6 Cleanliness Levels
Following the flushing and filtration process, all final oil samples achieved an NAS Class 6 cleanliness level or better. The results were verified through detailed visual inspection of the meshes.
Achieving this level of oil cleanliness helps reduce the risk of contamination-related issues, supports equipment reliability and contributes to the long-term performance of critical turbomachinery systems.
